Outfit Post – Runder Unders

At work I have been put in charge of capturing people with lululemon street style. It’s a blast but even I have to fight against the urge to just throw a long shirt over a pair of leggings with boots and call it a day. Today I thought to throw my super warm leggings under my maxi and tie up the maxi so you can see the herringbone pattern. Get creative people!

What I Wore
Skirt: H&M
Leggings: lululemon – Runder Unders
Tank: lululemon – Power Y
Sweater: American Apparel

Back From The Holidays

Welcome back people! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. Let’s start it off with an outfit post for a night on the town with some college buddies. I love my summer dresses, so I really try and transition them into something I can wear during the long Winter. Basically its nothing that some warm tights, boots and some shearling can’t accomplish. Oh and enjoy my tree!

What I Wore
Dress: Nasty Gal
Shirt: J. Crew
Jacket: William Rast
Boots: Fiorentini+Baker

I love these delicate designs and simple lines from Dana Rebecca Designs. It also doesn’t hurt that they are beautiful diamonds set into a variety of metals. It also doesn’t hurt that she is a Chicago designer. One of my favorite cities. Buy Here. (instagram via ChiCityFashion)

Some Of My Faves

I am always telling you about some of my favorite designers (Stone_Cold_Fox, Novella Royale, Blu Moon, Luv AJ etc.) Then this morning in my email I see that Planet Blue has done a video with all of them! OH JOY! I also put a few of my favorites from the designers down below. Shop Here.

Of A Kind

I was searching for presents last night and stumbled upon this wonderful site, Of A Kind. It’s worth watching the video about the site, but the general premise is that they only sell a limited edition of each piece. Also, each piece comes with a story about the artist and the product. Shop Here.

Joie Sweater Outfit Post

Had to make a work to dinner outfit the other day and I hadn’t broke out my new Joie sweater yet so it was a perfect choice. Since I had to work first I did pair it with my Wunder Under Crops but the sweater was long enough to cover my bum so it worked. I also love the little pleat at the back of the sweater.

What I wore
Sweater: Joie
Pants: Lululemon
Tank: Lululemon
Boots: Frye
Necklace: Vintage from Santa Fe

Preppy style isn’t my forte I realize this but I love taking some style I’d usually describe as preppy and turning it around. One example is that I love a great mens sweater. It started when I explored the wool mens sweater selection at J. Crew. I thought how could they be hiding all these gems from me. It felt wrong. I felt even more upset when I peeked into Gant on Newbury. I love a good boxy wool sweater that almost borders on an ugly Christmas sweater. Now guys feel free to buy them too because well they are technically made for you. Buy Here.

I actually stumbled across these coasters first and fell in love with them as an art piece, but then I saw that they had rings. Each piece is completely unique which is a risk because you don’t know exactly what you’re getting but you know it will be amazing. Buy HERE.

Jill Golden x Indego Africa

I am in love with these colors and even more so love that these little treats give back. “Through a partnership with the Social Enterprise Indego Africa, these handwoven beaded bracelets are being produced in Rwanda, Africa. They are made of Japanese glass beads with Swarovski crystals and lambskin suede details. Each piece is signed by the Artisan and comes with a unique Dutch Wax Fabric pouch.” BUY HERE.

During my morning run I realized dressing for morning works is a delicate balance. You don’t want to be too cold when you start that you’ll never warm up but you also dont want to have so many layers on that you are stoping ever five minutes to undress and tie something else around your waist. Here are a few staples…
